    New garage set up

    Hello all.

I Have just moved into a place where I can finally set up semi permanently and best of all not bug the neighbors. Previously had a single car port surrounded by living spaces and all I could really use my sky tram/tgc for was wedges and short irons. Anything else was too loud. I was obviously not able to do much tgc at all.

The new setup is in two car garage and working well so far. I’m not attached to the Matt that I got for 20 bucks so I think car parking wise— I will just be able to park one wheel on it just next to the fiber built section. The hitting area so close to the wall really hasn’t been an issue at all. So far so good. However I have had a few issues that I’m trying to resolve.

i plan to add some form of a canopy over the first three feet or so from the net to hopefully eliminate a skied ball or a ball from a lofted club that rides up the net...although I have not seen this happen yet.

    1. After very little use the balls will get a black residue... assuming from the nets. I’m planning to get a white “target” sheet/pad for where ball hits net. Any thoughts?

    2. Has anyone secured Fiberbuilt panels together themself? Looks like just a thin aluminum strip that is attached into the plastic Fiberbuilt base with screws? I also want to get a third section from fiber built for a little more room.

    3. How to keep Matt from shifting during a session?

I just bought 1 sqm of archery netting with eyelets and hung it in front of the net.

I had a garage floor that wasn't level so I built a platform out of wood to level where I hit and built an insert in it for a hitting strip. I use fiberbuilt as well. Platform is heavy enough that it doesn't move
