I'm putting preliminary plans together for building my first sim. Right now I'm planing on 1" EMT frame but I was wondering once it's together is it possible to take back apart to move it? I may want to eventually switch what room it is in and with my job I move around a decent amount. It wouldn't be something I do regularly once every year or two . But is it possible?

You have to buy the connectors...they have thumb screws to tighten on the pieces of your EMT...the only problem with a takedown is disconnecting all your netting and blackout cloth and the screen. I had to use blackout cloth for a window behind the screen and to put a nice letterbox show into the screen...behind my 9' x 12' screen I had to fuse two six foot wide pieces with double sided carpet tape (I don't sew and my wife, she don't look so good,,,that's a joke I hope you understand). If you installed blackout cloth, you'll have to get all over the outside of frame to remove it...so your head will be into and resisted by the ceiling! If you're a beast, you can just snip all the ties and pull it all off in one piece...but, putting it back up might require at least two people. The screen is easy! Snip snip ties or maybe unhook or else unclip...50 pounds of screen tumbles to the floor. Now the netting! You want to be able to put it back up just like it was...right?! Netting don't collect together naturally...at the factory, machines fold it up nicely in a way that lets you unfold without snags, fold-overs, etc. But while you are collecting the net you're also clipping the ties...I'm sure there's a good technique, something you'll have learned as you take off the last piece. I've never dis-assembled my hitting bay yet after three years...but you got me thinking!
