First of all let me say thanks to everyone here that doesn't know you helped me. I learned a lot just by reading the wealth of information from previous post. That being said, I do have a few questions. So far I have built my Carl's Place screen which is 12'w x 9'h, I will be hitting from about 9' away. I would like to put my projector in front on the floor so it looks like I should go with the Optoma GT1080 Darbee due to the .49 throw ratio.
Will the GT1080 be able to fill the entire screen from about 7.5' away on the floor? One of the 'projector calculators' mentioned the picture will have a 16" vertical displacement from the floor. Could I just tilt the projector down to compensate? The bottom of the screen is very close to the floor.
The last two questions are pure speculation but perhaps some here have insight. Between now and the middle of April (aka Masters Week) what are the chances that a) SkyTraks go on a discount and b) TGC 2019 for the SkyTrak is released?
