Bought new projector need advice

Recently bought a new BenQ MH760 5000 lumen projector to start my golf sim room. It will be here by the weekend. Pictured is an OLD Epson ex5210 Has anyone used this projector? Does anyone have any opinions? It will be for my living room sim build. I didnt get measurements yet, but should have more then enough space for everything (I hope!) Going to connect it to a 16:9 impact screen.

What is the screen diameter or height/width? Knowing this is key to determine how far you need to mount the projector from the screen, or how close you can get away with mounting by using its throw ratio and zoom to minimize any shadowing from your swing.

Update: Here are the pictures with my new BenQ MH760. Im leaning towards carls premium impact screen 16:9 with 5' low profile enclosure. I measured my room and the smallest enclosure seems to be perfect (7.7x13) but I am afraid it will just be too massive. I attached some new pictures of my projection with the new projector with lights on and also off as well

-Does anybody have this size projection screen? Can you link or send pictures of this?

-Can you tell the differences between carls preferred and carls premium screens?

-Do you think this will be too big? I want something that doubles as a TV and is also low profile for the new living room.

Measurements of carls screen 7.7x13:

floor to ceiling height of wall = 9ft 9
ceiling height in general (vaulted ceilings) = 18 ft at top
19ft from projector to screen
projector will be mounted above where the ladders are on a shelf right below the ceiling

Too massive? No such thing in Sim world. Immerse yourself, my friend! If you have the money, get the bigger the screen for golf, but if you want to watch TV or something you can always adjust the projector so the image being cast isn't as big (I can on mine at least, which i assume would be the same for all projectors).

The only thing i would worry about is casting your shadow into the screen depending on how low to the floor you want the image casted compared to where you got the projector mounted.

I have a carl premium. It is worth it, in my opinion, but then i again, I have nothing to compare it to. It's thick (relatively), and QUIET. That is a major help. After hours of beating the shit out of the ball in an enclosed room, you'll want things can help dampen the sound of impact.

Thanks for the input! So yeah I will go with that 16:9 screen. What size screen and enclosure do you have? How do you like it?

MadeInBrooklyn I assume that question was to me! I bought the 9hx10w. No enclosure. I just made my own since I was custom building for my garage as a "stowaway" version. I am content with this. It took a lot of trial and error.

Hey, I'm looking at getting this same projector. How does it do during game play? I read that this would not be good for gaming, but they were talking Modern Warfare and not golf simulators. How well does the 2D keystone work, how far right doof center you have it? I'm looking at 13' from a 120" x 78" screen and 4' right of center, think this will work? Thanks.

mnielson0507 sorry for the late replay I just saw this. I have played both Modern warfare, seen DVD's and have played TGC 2019 and other games on the projector. I have just installed a skylight and have A LOT of sun where the golf simulator / projector is. During the day when the full sun is out and all of my high hat lights are on you can still clearly see the picture but it is slightly faded (Ill post a couple pictures ) usually when it is really sunny ill shut the light off at my house and the image is still very bright despite all of the ambient light. The one downfall of this projector that I can see is that when watching an action movie it seems to be a LITTLE choppy. The way around this is to just use blu-ray movies or movies with higher frame rates and it comes out perfect like you are in the theater. Any other questions let me know, overall i LOVE this projector. Picture with the car is in full sunlight, the picture with the snowboard is at night with no light
