I am about to start the framing of my simulator in my barn and could use some extra thoughts on the design. I am leaning towards using the Uneekor simulator, as it seems to be the best value for a higher end simulator.

Above the room is storage, that is the reason for the stairs on the end in the drawing. Stairs are outside the room. I also was planning on a sitting area and bar in the space. The room narrows at the door because of a slider in the barn.

The room is 16’ wide by 20’ long and I have a 14’ screen ordered already. Is that sufficient for space?

Also, I have lights on different switches for the simulator vs the room. I was going to go with LED cans for all the lights but make them adjustable eye lights over the tee area. Is that the best way to set it up?

I'm in the same place you are. A large pole barn that is finished off. Looking to install a sim area. I have plenty of room but I'm not sure what kind of enclosure I will use. Anybody able to tell me how to post pics from my apple computer?

There is a camera icon button right above the area that you type in that allows you to upload pictures from your computer or device. Just select upload.

Starting framing at 8am tomorrow! I got the ceiling finished tonight and will frame walls and maybe some OSB overhead tomorrow. Weather in Denver is perfect right now and I am pushing to get this finished before the end of the year.

I built my room inside my shop and went 16' x 20' I am wishing I had gone just a bit bigger it can get a bit tight with four people playing. I also used car siding to do my walls seemed to me to be a lot better choice than what dry wall would be. I have had a lot of people say they would be scared of wayward balls but the way I have my netting and screen setup I have never had a problem and needless to say have had some pretty wild shots hit in there.

What did you use to frame out screen to make that clean look the black material to cover the tarp clips.

BCurtis, That’s what I was thinking and the extra holding area in the back. I will have the main area as 16’x20’ and then there will be a bar area behind that, measuring roughly 10’x12’. I like the setup! I will ping you for some suggestions I am sure as building progresses.

What projector and turf did you use?

On the turf I went with what Menards had on sale, planning on upgrading on it as soon as I can but haven't made up my mind on just which one to go with as of yet. Got some more done yesterday and today. Finished out the framing, hung a door (old front door repurposed), outside sheets hung, and got some ceiling storage sheets in place. It’s starting to come along. Oh, and had an awesome sunset outside the simulator room window!
