I have 3 CAT6 cables going from the computer to the projector. I plan on using one for the Uneekor to computer connection and then the other two can be utilized as HDMI or something else. I ran 5 speaker wires in the room to give me the option of 5.1. I have Sonos through the house and I’m not certain what I’m going to do in this room but that gives me options.Comment

I have utilized CAT6 in the past for HDMI runs, and it requires two cables. Here is the wall plates. https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=8008
The issue is that going this direction will only yield 1080P and won’t do 4K as far as I can tell.
The third CAT6 is for the Uneekor unit to the PC.

Cat6 is not the same as HDMI unless you plan to use baluns. I would consider running a true HDMI cable from the computer to the projector.Originally posted by TXANM View PostComment

Simulator is up and running! Thank you to everyone on this forum for the ideas and help. Especially Gene! Your videos and build were my main source of info and inspiration.
I have some additional work to do but can’t pull myself away from hitting to get it all done, plus this build was a little more work than I originally planned. Here is my checklist.
1.) Cut the flooring in front of the screen to give me an area the balls can fall. Gene gave me this idea, thanks Gene!
2.) Install bar height table separating the area
3.) Install my split unit for constant heating and cooling
4.) Decide on hitting area platform. Currently it is 16’ x 16’. I bought some scrap turf and seamed it myself to decide if I wanted to go bigger. I think I like the 16x16 though.
5.) Wall and ceiling protection. Kiddo and wife have already put a couple holes in the drywall. I’m leaning towards carpet tiles on the walls and 1” high density foam on the ceiling 8’ in front of the screen.
6.) Scotch guard the screen. I am still debating this one as I don’t want it to yellow at all. Doing research.
7.) New screen. I ordered it 14’ wide and my room is 16’. I think I want to go with a 16:9 format now. I wish I planned this a little more prior to buying the 14’.
This is an older picture prior to TV installation on the side. I run QED on the TV and TGC2019 on the screen. I will take some more pictures and post them later. Just like everyone else you are never finished with the room right?!Comment

Keep meaning to post pictures of the final, err almost final product. It will never be finished but I am 95% there. Love playing every night with my 13 year old son.Comment

Had to do some changes to my room and figured it was worth an update to help others. My ceiling strikes started to pay a toll on the drywall, even with 1” high density foam. I ended up cutting the drywall out and replacing the strike area with plywood. Additionally my foam was falling constantly and so I used liquid nails to secure it vs the spray adhesive that was recommended (Super88).
I also have a new EyeXO coming today and I’m excited to get it up and running!Comment
