Moving home - bringing sim with me

Hi all

I set up my garage simulator about 4 years ago, and it has been great. I have been using a flightscope xi and more recently a skytrak for on course play

The new house is a Victorian build with high ceilings and so I plan to have the sim indoors. The room is quite tight but I have demo'd the dimensions in my garage and I can swing driver fine. It does mean I will be unable to use the flightscope but I am favouring the skytrak for Indoor use anyway these days

My question is what minimum distance from the wall does the impact screen need to be? Currently it is 18 inches in my garage, the screen hangs from the ceiling and is weighted down using sand bangs on top of the excess material behind the screen. Would 14 inches be ok?

Also in the new room I plan to hang the screen from the ceiling and either pin to the floor or have a similar setup with something heavy on too of the excess material weighing it down, any suggestions here?

One final question, has anyone worked out if wgt with skytrak has an offline multiplayer mode where multiple players can play the same course? Thus far i have just been alternating holes with friends an cannot see an alternative

My screen is exactly 8” from the wall. To achieve this a put the screen then a net behind it then suspended 2 king sized 3 inch memory foam mattresses between the screen and wall. It’s been like that for 4 or 5 years and it perfect.

Mine is 9". Tight stretched net behind, and that's it. I hit slightly off center though, so might get a little benefit from being closer to supported sides...

Thanks for the reply guys. So I have done a bit more testing with my current set up. I put a 6 inch thick mattress behind my net and it worked fine, even with driver, so in theory having the net 6 inches from the wall in the new set up should be fine.

Another point to note, I assumed my flightscope would not work at all in a room of only 12 feet 8 in length, however I just tested it with approx 6 feet radar to ball and 6 feet ball to net (the official minimum is 8 feet radar to ball and 8 feet ball to net) and the numbers appeared ok.
