Planning a build - Looking for help

    Hi All,

On and off lurker for years finally joined as I really want to break ground and build an addition as that is the only way I have room to put in a sim. Even them, I'm limited with setback rules. I will be enlisting an architect, but was mostly curious about depth. I plan on a 15 x 20 x 10 room. Not sure I have room to go wider (the 15) or longer (the 20) given setback issues. While I believe 15x20 is enough for a sim, I am concerned with having room behind the golfer for people to sit. Is that enough room? Anyone have pictures of a similar size room with seating?

Some of it depends on where you end up locating your impact zone but Generally you should be good with those dimensions. I would say you can easily accommodate barstools behind the golfer at the least and likely full size chairs or a couch if desired. My room is similar and I'll do some measurements at 20' to be sure.

Thank you for your response and offer for the measurements. I went to the local golf shop today and their bays were roughly the same size (15 X 20. Theire hitting distance was a little far back. It felt a little weird if I scoot up. Perfect world I think I'd like a few more feet but not sure I can swing it, no pun intended.

Seems like you would have enough room as described above.
