Need help with my build

Hi i love this forum, ive been playing for a year now and I have a 23 hc, im building a simulator in my house the specs are
Width 15 ft
Depth 19.6 ft
Height 10.3 ft
I bought a dynamax cage net which is 10height x 10width x 4.9 depth
An impact screen that’s 10ft x 8.8 ft
Skytrak
Short throw proyector
I have a couple of questions and I really hope anyone can help me
What size frame should I make for the net; is two inches extra on all sides ok? I know those inches are necessary for the impact screen, don’t know if they are ok for the net so its not to tight, I have no idea how loose it should be.
I understand the ball needs to be at the center of the screen for a better experience but im not sure if having only 12 inches from the net to the wall in the right side is ok, im putting sound reduction foam on all walls, I can put another net on that side for safety
Ive attached an image of my calculations and size of things, please tell me if im right or if theres a better setup configuration.

I'm planning my build as well. My proposed layout looks just about like yours, but I only have 12 feet of floor space. I too have a wall on the right side, but my hitting area (your oval grey illustration) is open to the next room so no wall to worry about there...

I plan to have my hitting strip be 2 feet wide, so both lefty and righty can play in that small space. Each will hit about a foot offset (righty's offset toward the wall, lefty's offset the opposite direction toward the open area) if playing together. Not ideal but should work and allow lefty players 7" of swinging room on the rare occasion I have a lefty over or my wife wants to give it a whirl.

I will only have about 12" from screen to side wall as well. I don't see any problems with that. I plan to get some heavy curtain material, or re-use my sports netting on that side. Ideally, some heavy black curtains on a sliding track, attached to the right edge of the screen with a velcro strip.. then pull it out when I play, or retract when I don't need it... material will hopefully be heavy enough to slow down a wayward shot considerably in the 12" of space it has.. Its in my garage, so if it hits the wall a little i'm ok with that as long as the curtain/net slows it down enough that it won't ricochet around after impact.. that's all i'm looking for.

My other option instead of curtains, is re-use my netting.... fold it corner to corner so it's a triangle shape, attach along the edge of the screen on that side, and stretch it diagonally out about 5-8 feet attaching the corner to the floor... so you aren't as swing restricted by it being full height.

I'm a few months out before I start building.. Need to get my shed up in the yard in the spring first to move out all my stuff (lawnmower, snowblower, pressure washer ect) that's taking up my valuable sim space..

Make is as big as you can or the size of the screen you want. Whichever is smaller

There is no need to be in the middle. Most software will allow you to offset yet have the ball right in front of you.

finally finished thanks for all the advice, its working perfectly only bad thing is not too many people can be inside the room.
But everything went as planned
