What's the opinion on here for the minimum length for a sim build? Is 13 feet enough?

13' feet may be pushing it, depending on where you're hitting from. I hit from about 10' and wouldn't really want to me much closer. With the back swing of a driver from 10', 15' is about as short as I'd want to be. Obviously, if you move closer it shortens the distance, but I wouldn't feel comfortable much closer, especially 2' closer.

I have 14 ft before a little divider half wall. I hit from 6ft to screen. You'd be fine at 13ft if you set it up right. I put a memory foam mattress topper behind the screen and balls fall straight down, no kick ball at all. Never once been nervous of bounce back.
I actually like being that close to the screen, it feels more immersive and definitely helps with putting.

Tough rule of thumb here is 8-10 feet is the sweet spot from tee to screen and the at least 6 feet from tee to wall to incorporate your backswing.
So with that 14 feet seems to be the min.... but maybe you can get by with 7 feet tee to screen if you can swing your driver and not hit the screen.

I have a room in my house that I have thought of moving my sim into (but it would mean being offset if centre and also would lose my TM) that has over 12 to 14 foot ceiling height. This room would have screen to back wall measuring 12 feet. I too have measured this and found that while it is close, hitting from 6 feet to back wall and screen is just enough with no concerns hitting anything. I am 5’11. It is tight, but I know I can make it work if I had to.
