New Basement Build! Help a brother out!

I really appreciate all of the wisdom/advice on this forum. I’m building a golf room in our basement and would love some help.

Dimensions of room are 13’ wide by 23’ deep by 10’ tall.

1. Deciding between Uneekor QED, Eye XO, and GC2 (and maybe Skytrak?) any advice?
2. Impact screen wall is 13 feet wide by 10 feet tall. Aspect ration/projector help? Not sure if I should prioritize 16x9 or make screen taller with 16x10 or 4:3. Want to do this right!
3. I’d like to DIY the impact screen but I want it to look really really clean. Like what I see from Trackman pics with the black curtains. How can I get super clean sides and top?

Here are some photos of where we are with the build. I’m really excited and want to get it as right as I can the first time. Buy once and cry once.

I would go with the largest possible 4:3 image to fill your wall...a huge wall of golf course looks good and impresses friends.

I have a 12' by 9' impact screen in an area about the same size. Most of the time I play in 4:3 aspect mode so that the image fills the entire screen. But I can easily switch to 16:9 widescreen mode for either golfing or watching movies. When I switch to 16:9 mode the image extends beyond my screen on the sides, so I put my projector on a sliding mount to move it forward to match the full width of the screen.

In 16:9 mode there is extra black space either at the top or bottom of the screen. I position the projector so that it is at the bottom. It is fine (even maybe preferable) for movies, but I like the full screen image for golf.

I really don't notice a difference in image quality between the two modes, even with the projector a few feet closer in widescreen mode. My screen is a bit grainy, so that may part of the reason.

Thanks for the advice! What projector and resolution are you using on a 4:3 screen? Are you playing TGC19?

Fill your screen as big as you can and don’t worry what ratio is. IMO your room is too narrow for Uneekor unless you offset it. I could be wrong but the FOV is narrow. I’d ask the Uneekor guys.

I've done some math and I think it will work fine because the hitting zone is 18" wide. If I set the QED up dead center (6'6"), I can borrow 9" of the hitting zone on the right side for driver, getting me to 7'3". Vice versa for lefties. After doing some measuring at a local golf sim, I believe I can live with that. If I end up scraping a wall, I can shift over a few inches and make the lefties choke up.

18 inches is decent. You should be fine. Good sized room.

Thanks for the advice! What projector and resolution are you using on a 4:3 screen? Are you playing TGC19?

I have TGC 2019.

My computer can generate 1600 x 1200 in the full screen mode, but I'm not sure that all do.

My projector is an Epson Home Cinema 1060 that I am very happy with. But I have it installed behind the golfer. I don't think that the throw of my projector would support an installation in front of the golfer (the image would not be wide enough).

I really want Uneekor to work. Love the idea of ceiling mount.

I've been talking to Matt at Uneekor (helpful and responsive) and he says that View and Ignite have several 4:3 options up to 1400x1050 but Refine and Succeed only have 1920x1080 or 1024x768 (4:3). I put in a request for more resolution options.

So I love this trackman screen with the trim and the curtains. I am stumped how they get the trim to look so clean. Does anyone have any idea how they get that look? In time-lapse it's hard to tell how they do it!
