Looking for some help with sim

Hello,
I hope everyone is doing good in this difficult time. I am trying to build sim in my backyard shed. It is 12x10x10. Would this work? Or is it too small? I am going to use my gc2 with laptop connected to TV but eventually I want to get projector and screen. I don’t mind being little offset when I hit but being middle would be great too. Should I set up 12ft length so I can in the middle of screen? Would 10 ft depth enough to swing driver with screen? I am 6ft tall.

10 foot ceiling is fine for most people but I don't know about the rest. 12x10 is awfully tight.

I have 13' to work with and I"m offset by about a foot (maybe a little less). You need about 8' min. measuring from the side wall to the impact zone (behind you) to swing driver (I"m 6'2"). 10' from the impact zone to the screen is plenty but don't forget you need about 1' between the impact screen/net and the wall. Hope this helps. Brettster has a similar set up and has done a lot of research. He may be able to help further.

I think the best bet is to use the 12 foot side as the width and then knock down one of the 10-foot sides and extend it out several feet. So in other words, turn the 10 foot side into a 15 foot side. 15x12 is doable. I think I'm about 16x13.

I'm doing a similar build. My shed is 15x long, by 11.5 feet wide, by 10 feet tall. The side walls slope inward starting at around 9 feet tall so it is a bit of an A-frame. From the inside of the entrance door to the screen is 14 feet.

It's not finished totally but I've built it enough to be try it, and able to hit shots in it and it is totally fine. Can swing fully. I do have to hit driver about 1 foot offset from center to avoid hitting the side walls. I'm 6 feet and have not come close to hitting the 10 foot ceiling. If I hit anything, it is going to be the side wall A-frame.

I think you'll be fine. Will be cramped so might not be able to get another person in there with you, but if for a one-man sim it should work just fine. Get in there and swing around with the driver to make sure.

JakeGeezy you're almost identical to what I have. I'm at 15' x 12' shed with a 10' ceiling gambrel roof. I'm finishing mine in the next few weeks, but have yet to cut the ceiling joists down. You must have a steep roof with an a-frame like that, did you have any ceiling joists blocking your swing? I will attach photos in a followup post.

justbringit51 sure, I can help, or answer any questions, you should definitely try to get to 15'x12' as your going to need that space to the screen, even at 15', I will have only 8' to screen maximum - you have to allow 1' behind your screen, and you will need at least 6' behind you (to back wall). The width will help you too, if you can get it, otherwise as JakeGeezy says, you won't be able to have anyone in there - it will be a solo sim.. Feel free to PM me if you want...

Brettster nice!! I had some ceiling joists but I took them out, cut them shorter, and the reinstalled them higher up. May have lost a little stability but it’s a strong structure so it will be fine.

My drop ceiling is 10 feet high, which is over about half of the inside. The other half of the inside of the shed has about 15-17’ high ceiling so the pitch isn’t as Severe as my initial post made it sound.
