How are you guys attaching your memory foam toppers?

Note : I cannot attach directly to wall so I will need to suspend from frame above

I could write a graduate thesis on how I tried to hang memory foam.. mostly with various comedic failures. Maybe i'll post a pic later but this has worked for me so far...

I bought heavy duty photography clamps off amazon. I attached 3 or 4 of these clamps on the top of the foam, attached paracord to clamps, and another clamp to paracord that attaches to the top of my enclosure screen bar. I let the bottom of the memory foam sit on the ground and adjust paracord length so that the topper stands on end without bending into my screen (bending causes irritating screen bulges).

You'd laugh if you saw the back of my sim screen I think I've spent more time/money on bounce back than setting up the whole thing.

Here are my layers front to back:
    carls premium screen
    white blackout curtain
    king size duvet cover
    3" gel memory foam
    king size duvet #2
    king size duvet #3
heavy carpet pad (from online simulator store)

But knock on wood that damn ball has stopped assaulting me after I hit it.

I've seen other sew two blankets together with the memory foam in between. This is probably the best method but I'm not a seamstress so I have not given that a try. If my foam falls off the clamps I may give it a shot.

Haha sounds like it works though!
i was trying to keep it simple but can see how something that seems pretty straight forward probably isn’t!

if you can manage a picture later that would be great!

Tarp clips on the memory foam will eventually rip right off and take a chunk of the foam with it. We've all done it and ended up with the foam on the floor.

My solution was as follows: put the foam in a duvet cover. However my foam wasn't rigid enough to stay flat in the duvet so it sagged and folded over on itself. At the top, I used an excess piece of EMT and a few tube clips to attach the foam to that EMT inside the duvet. This spreads the weight of the foam across the EMT rather then isolate it on the clips. Then I wrapped excess duvet around that same EMT, and attached the tarp clips to the duvet. So the duvet is holding up the EMT, which is holding up the foam.

Not much room behind my frame to easily take a picture for you, so I drew it out instead as I am a fantastic artist.

I am trying a slightly different approach, but a quite simple one. I am using a few trousers hanger with clamping mechanism - I hope they hold enough area of the memory foam so it doesn't break. I do not know if that works on the long run, but we will see (my mevo+ hasn't arrived yet, so the set up has only been tested for a few dozen shots). The foam hangs down nicely and it can swing freely (foam is 4cm thick).

            Editing a comment
Edit after a few days hitting into it: This is not working straight away as the clamps become loose after some time. Maybe screwing them together will help.

2x6’s clamped around the memory foam in three places and then covered with foam themselves has worked well for me.

I took 2 12 foot 2x1 strips of wood and screwed them together holding up 2 King Size toppers then hung it from the ceiling with rope. Fingers Crossed. 5 years so far.

Pic is upside down for some reason but you get it.
