Basement Build

Hey guys,
I've been lurking on here for a while and I'm finally getting around building my sim room. We built the house in 2017 and did 10ft ceilings in the unfinished walk-out basement. The basement plan I attached shows the sim room in the lower left side of the picture (the bedrooms and bathroom aren't shown at all).

The first step is finishing the basement and I need to figure out approximately where the projector is going to be as well as outlets for a tv/monitor on the side wall, and outlets above the bar behind the sim area. My maximum screen size is going to be 12' wide x 9' high and will be about 1 foot off the wall. Where is that going to put the projector, and what will be the optimal distance from the screen for the ball to be hit? Hoping someone who has just been though this can weigh in. I've considered so many options that I'm probably more confused than when I started. Thanks!

So, for reference, my screen is 7.7' tall and I hit from 8.5' from the screen, and I think it's pretty good. With a 9' screen height, I'd shoot for 9-10' from the screen. Some prefer to be closer and others prefer to be further away. You might be able to get away with a little further away depending on your cage.

As for the projector, go to https://www.projectorcentral.com and play with their calculator. There are just too many options available and depends on what you prefer - brightness, zoom, clarity, sound, etc., and how far away you can put the projector. I have a short throw that is directly above where I hit (8.5' from the screen), so it's never a factor for shadows or getting hit. Personally, I am very happy that I bought one with a zoom and focus feature (TH761ST), so I can adjust the size/focus on the screen and didn't sweat getting the location perfect.
