    Manshed golf sim/home theater
it’s 12x16x9.5 I didn’t get permit so hope my neighbors are ok with it...
    just has carpet for now
its pretty hollow should I get some sound proof foam or insulations?
I will have gc2,fsx2020 optoma 1080p darbee on the ground. I am debating between all sports,Carl’s, or net return. Leaning towards net return only for the portability.

Nice! I'm thinking about sound absorption as well. I don't mind it, but my neighbors can hear me playing up to a 1/4 mile away.

Have you researched options? Let me know if you have any good options

How much did it cost you to put you shed together? Can't really tell from the picture, but what kind of base is the shed sitting on?

I’m FINALLY getting my 12x20 shed delivered and assembled on Thursday. Guy said suppose to have permit over 200 sqft but...he said something about interior making it slightly less sqft, this and that so uh...don’t worry about it. I do live in a subdivision not 1/4 mile away from neighbors unfortunately. Research I’ve done on noise is, insulation plus 2 sheets of 5/8” Sheetrock with green glue between the sheets will reduce the sound significantly. Should give about a 40 rating. Between that and an AstroTurf type flooring that should work, right? I bought the NetReturn Justbringit. Still in the bag. Irons don’t make that much noise right...just the driver?? May buy the Net Return screen and protector once I get it all setup. Probably won’t wait till the contractor puts up the walls and flooring on Saturday just to try it out and see how loud it is. I’ll let you know.

Curious how much the 12x20 shed is for you. Also what is the ceiling hight? Oh and where are you located?

It’s just shy of 5G’s. It was a little less than usual cause I didn’t need a garage door. It was a LOT more than what it should’ve been because I had to pay for it to be assembled on site. t’s a Dutch barn type roof so the ceiling is probably 10-12’. There are 2 support beams but am told they can be positioned so it doesn’t effect the swing. Locate in mid-Atlantic.

I have a similar shed 12x18. Was wondering what you've used for insulation. I will have a single 5/8" Sheetrock. I'm thinking of putting acoustic foam panels just around the hitting bay to help with the sound.

                    Some have suggested green glue

Green Glue Noiseproofing Products are the most popular and cost-effective soundproofing materials on the market and application is fast, simple and effective.

I can't get my contractor out for another couple weeks because of the virus restrictions and backlog, Orrak. I'm still hitting in a net and using a tv which is actually just fine and makes very little noise. Checked with the neighbors and no noise problems. Contractor will use 5/8" Sheetrock, just one not doubled, like you said with regular insulation and call it a day. My research found those acoustic panels do work quite well. I'm more concerned about buying a portable a/c unit cause the mid-Atlantic has been pretty toasty the past week. Shed windows are too small for window unit.

Thanks DS12 for the Green Glue suggestion and also Skyking on the personal experience. I have the same AC issue and I'm getting a mini-split AC to use for cooling. Ordered this from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/PIONEER-Air-C...g%2C227&sr=8-3https://www.amazon.com/PIONEER-Air-C...g%2C227&sr=8-3

Orrakprime just curious, what led to Pioneer as your choice, when there are other brands running nearly $100 less? I also need to install a mini-split in my 11.5’x15’ shed and would like to do it before I even start on placing the simulator in the space as the weather has started to heat up for the Summer where. I am.
