    Garden Options (GC2)

    Hi all,

I'm looking for options for a garden setup using GC2. I know I'll be able to the fitting app to get some data, but does anyone run long cables or perhaps screen cast from a gaming PC to a laptop/iPad to enable the playing of rounds?
unfortunately I only have 8ft of height inside so needs to be outside into a net.
Any thoughts and insights much appreciated.
stay safe and hope we are back on course soon.

What software are you using, TGC or FSX? For FSX, you would just need to run usb cable from laptop to the GC2, it should work. For TGC/TGC 2019 I think you would just need to have a Bluetooth connection and the GSX and ProTee software installed. I play TGC 2019 in my SIM with the GC2 running totally wirelessly, I don't think it would be any different outside.

I'm hoping to run TGC 2019.
I have looked at it and I believe Bluetooth is the key, I was hoping to avoid having to take the PC outside each time, so thinking of a long length active usb cable and then a usb BT gongle next to the GC2. I then need to work out how to get the image dispalyed outside, either via Ipad pro or a portable projector perhaps?
I may end up having to make a permanent enclosure if it all gets too difficult.

Are you looking at projecting onto an impact screen, or just looking at the results on small tablet screen while hitting into a net? If you want to use any kind of projector in daylight, you will need an enclosure. Even a small projector throwing only a couple of feet won't work in daylight.

I'm not 100 percent sure yet. I already have a large net, but have been looking at large tent type structures too. I'm in a rental so cannot build anything permanent in the garden.

This is my temporary outdoor setup. I have changed it a little since the picture but this is the general idea. I leave the net up most of the time but I put the tv, mevo+, and the putting strip away after each use.
