  • Garage build advice

Hi I am ordering a detached 20x20 garage for a sim build. I am mostly using it for getting my gaps and distances dialed in and playing courses. I would like to spend 10k or less so I am leaning towards a cpo gc2 for around 5k and then doing my research on here to order the remaining resources and building it out myself. I would like a projector set up. Any advice on sims, materials, computers etc would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

A few questions about the garage you are ordering. What is your height, where hitting area is? I think you could easily get your budget under $10K. Consider a Uneekor as it has a lot of cameras and ability for you to really analyze your swing. Its a bit more expensive, but if you ask the users who have it here, they really like it. One downfall is the need to use marked balls with a very specific patern. A few things though.

If you go GC2 route, remember that the flash modules do occasionally have to be replaced. They are not unreasonably priced but its an added expense. $5,000
    Uneekor $6,150 with Ignite
You really only need a 1080p projector, so Optima GT1080 Darbee ($600 used , $750 new)
Build your own enclosure with a screen. allow for 50-60 tarp clips ($100)
Impact screen. (Recommend getting the direct from mill. I think I paid like $300ish for a 10x12 piece)
Computer: I recommend building your own and staying away from laptops. Between $750-$1300 you could have a great computer. Please note that Uneekor only works with Intel processors. I believe Foresight will allow AMD processors.
Hitting mat: I really like my Fiberbuilt mat. The 5x4 is $750 but you could get a nice truestrike around $700

    Total Price: GC2 CPO: $7,900
Total Price: Uneekor Ignite: new $9,050 comes with 72 marked bridgestone balls.

I'm assuming that your estimate of $5000 for GC2 doesn't include any software, whereas (AFAIK) the Uneekor unit does, so that's something to consider.

The one I’m looking at is 12 foot pitched height. Thanks I will look into the uneekor thread. Thanks

As important as the pitched height will be the roof slope angle.
      How high are the walls

My Garage has a height at the ridge beam of about 13ft, sloping down to the walls which are 7ft 10 inches.
This provides enough room to be comfortable whether setting up the hitting area in the direction of the ridge or at 90 degress to it.

Can you provide a little detail on the garage build itself? I need to replace my garage and any info you could provide would help.
