  • Garage Sim Build

Well i just couldn't do foam balls anymore so i built an enclosure very similar to Punchoutpro's, where the screen wraps around the back of the cage and the bungee's are on the front posts to hold it together. I'm swinging in a garage with 9.5 ft ceilings. I can hit Irons and have hit driver but can tell I am pulling back, i'm 6'1/6'2 and don't want to shell out for another driver if I can avoid it.

    Sim setup
    • R-Motion - with the putty trick, no way i could use those clips
    • Vivimage C580 projector
    • Lenovo Yoga Laptop - I5 core, runs TCG basic courses that come with R- Motion no problem. Low settings (good enough for me for now)

Enclosure Item List for 9ft x 9.5 ft cage - will put on hinges to store flush with ceiling
    • 10x10 Impact screen from Daniel in the Direct from Mill post
    • Bungees and Tarp Clips from Amazon
    • 1in EMT
    • Corners from Tarps.com w/5/16in brass 1/2 inch bolts to replace the eye screws
    • Foam rod coverings from Lowes w/ Zipties for holding down
    • 12ft x 10 FT fake carpet turf from Home Depot
    • 6ft x 4ft x 1in hitting mat from a local Artificial Turf installer
    • Blackout Curtains for side protection- not pictured

I already am looking to upgrade my launch monitor, just have to convince the wife (or go sell more at work ) it will be Skytrak or the new Mevo+ as there is no way i can shell 4k+ for a GC.

    Thanks for looking!

    Tyler
