  • A new house, a new sim build.

I am moving to a new house in a couple of weeks. I currently have a golf sim in my single car garage, so it's a righty only set up. My new garage is 2.5 cars wide and 2.5 cars deep with a partially vaulted ceiling, so the wife is more than happy for me to have the back of the garage to re-build my sim - giving me plenty of space.

I want to make the new sim righty/lefty. By my crude calculations and reading from this forum, that means the width would have to be a minimum of 15'-4" and preferably 16'-0". Does this sound correct?

Looking to make my life easier, I thought this product looked super convenient: https://www.par2pro.com/shop/product...55uta0mfug1jm7 But, it is only 15' wide. Is that wide enough? Does anyone have any experience with this product or something similar.

    Thank you.

Uneekor recommends 13’ wide in their install. I imagine 15’+ will be plenty. Also, a 15’ wide screen is plenty. If you have a 16’ wide room, then give 6” on either side for enclosure, bungees, etc than 15’ is just right.

I have potentially 20' of width, I just didn't think that I could have a set up for right and left handed players in a 15' space. This will make life so much easier!

Cheers for the reply, much appreciated.

15’ should be just fine. I have 14’ and have been testing to see if I can center the hitting area as I am 1 ft off center. I found I had no issues swinging from either side. Good luck on your new sim.

How far from the screen will you be hitting? And how far from wall is your screen? I will have a window behind the screen (it will have blinds)

I have a definite 16' by 16', but can increase it to 20' by 20' if necessary. I plan to try and hit from 9' to 10'. away. I plan to have the screen 45 cm (I read here that 30 cm was likely enough).
