Projector being blocked by ceiling tarp

Just ordered all my materials and ahead of installation wanted to clarify something.

Where my projector will be put up I have a little over 13 feet ceiling, but my ceiling tarp will be at 10 feet as that part of the ceiling lowers to 11 feet and I'll have a garage door going over it.

The projector mount I purchased can go down 26 inches total. So assuming I am 10-11 feet away, that would mean I would be about 132 inches height

I will be having a screen that is 10 feet width by 10 feet tall, but since I am using a 4x3 setup the height of the screen will be 7 feet 6 inches.

My question is that if my projector is 11 feet away, will the maximum height of what is projected go to approximately 7 feet 6 inches? (The area marked with an "X"). Or am I missing something in my logic here?

Anything else I should consider? My backup option would be just to place a piece of wood to lower the mount by 5-6 inches if the logic holds.

If the projector is mounted level then the top of the picture will be 2 inches below the projector, so blocked out by the tarp. I guess you could try tilting the projector downwards, to get the top of the picture to 'X', but that assumes your mount has a tilt option and your projector has sufficient keystone adjustment to straighten the picture out.

You could lower the projector a little further to get to the right height. Get some wood and paint it the same color as the mount or ceiling. Lower the projector down a few inches.

Thanks that will be my backup plan. I put it in the image from 10 feet away with the brown square.

If you’re mount is using something like 1.25” pipe just get a coupler and a 6” extension from Home Depot. The threads should be standard, that’s how I lowered mine
