  • Sound bar install

    Hey everyone,

I bought a Bose sound bar to connect to the projector but I’m having a lot of trouble getting it to connect. I’m using a digital audio coaxial cable and plugging in directly into the tv input coaxial port in the sound bar and directly into the audio out port in the projector.

Any help would be appreciated. See pictures attached.

Mack sure you have the right audio output selected on your computer. Click image for larger version

Thanks. I have an iPad connected via hdmi to the projector. The sound works from the projector when I do not have the sound bar connected. Also, the sound bar is functional. I have used it many times to play Bluetooth from my phone.

That's definitely an audio out on the projector?

          Yes. Definitely audio out.

Also, as soon as I plug in the coaxial, the audio cuts out from the projector.

Volume up all the way around? iPad, projector, soundbar?

Are you sure the "audio out port" on the projector is for "coaxial"?

I think you need to go from audio out port to AUX which uses a cable like this. Click image for larger version

yes, the 3.5 mm stereo plug is the most common for projector audio out. although it looks like you got the rca cable to fit

Hey everyone. Just wanted to say thanks for the tips. Switching out the cord worked well. The quality of the sound isn’t as good as it is via Bluetooth, but it’s much better than it was with just the projector.

                  thanks group!
