  • Recommended Golf Mats for indoor simulator?!

    Hi Friends,

My father-in-law and I are building a simulator in the basement & we're just coming towards the end of ordering everything we need. One of the final pieces is we aren't sure which golf mat to order to hit from. From the research I've done the hierarchy seems to be:

    1. True Strike is the best
    2. Country Club Elite is the runner up

Is that pretty accurate? Are there any other brands that I should be considering? I think we want a 5'x5' mat for the build

    Thanks in advance!

I think the general consensus is actually that Fiberbuilt is probably considered the "best" with True Strike closely behind. I don't see CCE being considered in the conversation just given how many people complain about the harshness of them and how punishing they are on the joints.

Very good to know, already glad I asked. I'll check out the Fiberbuilt mats I hadn't come across those yet...which probably just means they aren't paying the marketing fees to make it onto the "Best of" lists =)

Is anyone in a position to say if this is a genuine "Fiber Built" mat? I'm slightly worried it could be a knockoff

Also anyone have any information or opinions on if this would make a good mat for our new simulator build w/ our skylark launch monitor?

Looks legit to me. Fiberbuilts are a bit on the pricier side (as you can see) but hugely popular. Their biggest selling point is that they are easy on the joints and won't hurt your wrists and elbows on fat shots.

Improve your golf game at home or at the range with Fiberbuilt's commercial grade golf mats.

(Full disclosure = I do not own a Fiberbuilt. Just going off of everything I've read about them.)

Yea, we knew getting into this we'd be spending some money so nothing gives me sticker shock anymore. I ordered it. It's from amazon so if it doesn't work out it can easily go back

I bought a mat about 4 years ago from a vendor out of Atlanta (see website). Mat is called Divot Action. Has different surfaces you can put down (deep rough, etc). Never had any issues with it and appears to be cheaper than Fiberbuilt. https://www.customdesigngolf.com/div...rade-mats.html
