  • Need ideas for my build

Hey everyone, as I continue my garage build I now have a few questions.

    1. My garage door motor is limiting the distance I can mount my projector causing a smaller image (see picture) so my question is could I move the projector to the side without it causing the image to look too weird?

    2. Also as you can see the HDMI cord hanging, what ideas do you guys have for hanging that on my ceiling? I ideally would use a cable management system and go through the ceiling and fish tape it over to where I want it but unfortunately the ceiling is the attic that is already floored and I do not want to undo that. The ceiling is a popcorn ceiling so should I just use hooks? Or some type of pipe?

    3. Lastly, my screen still isn’t tight enough for the best image. Right now I have a cord going in and out of the holes and then a bungee on the top attached to the ceiling and one on the bottom attached to a weight.

    Thank you all!!!!

    Consider floor mounting your projector

I unfortunately do not have enough space. I would be hitting on top of the projector.

Go to Home Depot and get some of those cable management packets. Basically it is something that will sit flush to your ceiling and allows the cable to be run through it. The pic on the box will likely show the cover with cords run through it along a baseboard.

can you reverse your set-up? If you are looking to offset your projector does it have keystone (note this could impact image quality). Other alternative is to see if your projector has a lens shift feature. My projectors lens shift allows me to offset by about two feet either way if I need it.
