I am getting a 7.7’ x 13’ screen and was thinking of hitting at 8 feet with a Uneekor QED. I was wondering if this was too close for a QED setup and wondering if the screen is too wide for hitting than close? I appreciate the help.
7.7’ x 8’ Screen. Is 8’ Ball to Screen Too Short? (Uneekor QED)

Not going to affect your reads from the cameras. Just bounce back of ball from screen. I have mine set at 8ft from screen

Pulled the trigger on QED. Have a garage build. 8 ft ball to screen; 12 ft ceilings. Not a single no read... yet. Wow. No real bounce back issues. Coming from Skytrak, first impressions are a noticeable difference in my enjoyment. Wanted to do XO however, my environment presented some challenges for a front mounted setup. So far so good.

I have a GCQuad (another camera-based system) and a 9x12 Microbay. My hitting zone ranges from 8'-9' from the screen depending upon where I place the ball for a shot. (The hitting zone is fairly large on the Quad.) I like hitting flop shots from 8' so that I don't hit one over the screen. I have had zero issues with bounceback. The impact screen is tight on the top and the bottom, but I did not pull it tight on the sides. 99% of my shots hit the screen and just fall to the floor about 6-12" in front of the screen.
