Hey Guys - I have been using this site for ideas for quite a while now and am overly jealous of many of your builds. I have been using my SkyTrak to hit into a net in my garage for the past 4 or 5 years but am looking to upgrade to an impact screen and projector over this winter. I will continue to use my iPad along with the Skytrak and wanted to ask a couple questions for some knowledgeable users.
1. Does the iPad only project in a 4:3 aspect ratio, or will it project in 16:9 or 16:10 also? I plan on connecting my iPad to a projector via apple airplay and obviously need this information before choosing a projector as well as determining the size of my screen. Not sure if you need this information but I currently hit about 8 feet from my net. The net I have right now I purchased from West Coast Netting about 5 years ago. It is 12' wide x 10'high. About 8" or so currently hang on the ground. (input on screen size would also be GREATLY appreciated...see item #2).
2. My net is currently retractable attached to a cable by grommets and zip ties. I plan on doing the same thing with my impact screen. Because we plan on moving next spring I don't want to go "all in" on this build as it wont be permanent. (I'll hopefully be doing that in the next home). Does anyone have recommendations for a quality impact screen that could get me through a year or two before upgrading when I hopefully am able to go with a full enclosure set up?
Thank you for your help in advance. This site was huge help when setting up my first area in my garage and hope it can be for these next couple advancements as well.
