  • Is upgrading from WGT golf using Skytrak worth it?

I’m after a bit of advice. I’ve recently purchased a skytrak launch monitor and built a sim room in my garage. I’ve got a white archery baffle net with a decent mat and an ok NEC short throw projector that’s floor mounted. I can get the room totally blacked out so the projected image is pretty good. I currently use my iPad Pro with WGT which works well.

My question is whether TGC2019 or the classic version are worth the upgrade from WGT? I’ll need to purchase a gaming pc and the TGC2019 software which I’ll do if it’s worth it. Any advice would be appreciated?

    thanks

    It is 10000% worth it.

I found WGT to be almost unplayable because of the chipping issues. The closest to the pin game was about all I could tolerate.

I upgraded to TGC2019 and I can't even tell you how much better it is.

-- The gameplay and ball physics are way better. It's not just still images like you have in WGT. And no idiotic chipping stuff that you run into with WGT.

-- The course selection has more courses than you could ever play.

-- Online tournaments are a blast. There's tournaments every day of the week. The main tour follows the PGA Tour schedule and has 100-150 players in the field every week.

-- Peer to peer play with anyone else you know who has it.

-- The course designer lets you design courses and upload them for anyone to play.

There is honestly zero comparison between the two. It's like the PGA Tour vs. the JV team.

We'll see ya out on the tours soon

3on3putt 100% agree with you. WGT not even in the same ballpark. TGC19 is the way to go. One iron U won’t regret it
