    Hey everyone.

This is a build I did for myself 2 years back. Unfortunately I had to shut this space down recently as I change locations and it won't be in use this winter, but I learned a great deal building this, and also got a lot of great information from this forum. Hopefully I can get someone going in the right direction or answer some questions for anyone that wants to build one this winter.

    Specs:

Ball Club Monitor: Trackman 4 Indoor/Outdoor Model

Projector: Optoma GT1080 DLP Short Throw Gaming Projector (Short Throws are important for space requirements. I think 4k would be an improvement in the future if your software can play 4k which most cannot yet and do it well.

Impact Screen/Projector Screen: HQ Impact screen from Par2Pro with archery net 146” x 120” 16:9 ratio

Computer: New PC with fast everything (CPU, RAM, Video Card)

Software/Additional Software: TM software plus the FULL E6 Trugolf Connect Software package with 28 additional course pack E6 Golf.

Cameras: (2) Machine Vision Cameras (Manta) + 2 iPod Touches - The Manta cameras are NOT WORTH the money or effort. Ipod touches are wonderful.

    Mat: Country Club Elite 38 x 60

Floor: Built a subfloor to hide all cables but also provide a putting green with various slopes. This worked incredibly well. After testing numerous putting green surfaces, I couldn't find one that was fast and smooth enough for my liking. My home course greens are typically running at 11-12 so I found a green carpet at the hardware store that when seamed together rolled as good as that one. Everything else I tried was too slow for my taste.

Feel free to shoot me any questions you have. Hopefully i can provide some answers.

    Best of luck everyone!

Great looking build! I'm not sure you'd want any high sh**nks with that screen in place Nice work with the mirror - I've always thought that would be a good addition, but figured cameras would offer a smaller but similar solution.

On that subject, were you using the iPad touches for swing video? If so, what app were you using for triggers and viewing? And what ipod touch version did you have?

hi Dax I'm wondering if FSX2020 which allows for dual camera connection would recognize it, and if so, what fps can be achieved - as a potential alternative to one of the chinese 120 cams which don't seem to achieve those rates

I used the basic 32GB ipod touch. You dont need anything more than that. I wired them up with power supplies so that they were always on and didnt have to reconnect them every time i walked in to hit balls. Pretty easy solution. As for hitting a sh**nk, I never had that happen, but my father hit a few thin that went up the ramp guarding the projector. We were lucky. For that reason those are all Plastic IKEA mirrors so nothing can go that wrong.

Do you still have the screen? If so how much are looking for and could you send some additional pictures to highlight the noted "spin marks". Thanks!
