    Suggestions - Side Barrier

    Hi all,

I purchased a net a while ago that I am really pleased with but I have decided to add a side panel/net to catch errant shots. Any recommendations on the best approach/netting to use?

    Here is my current setup.

    Thanks,
    Gerry

I'm sure others have better ideas I ended up getting a large 10'x15' hitting net from Amazon (for about $100) as I wanted to create some baffles above my screen to catch wedge shots and the kid's sky drives. I ended up cutting the net into strips for that purpose, but I would think you could cut it so that you have actual sides to catch the errant balls. It's a bit tedious as after cutting the net, I had to burn / singe all of the cuts. I ended up using a propane torch (think plumber / pipe soldering torch) which made it pretty quick. It's fairly economical and you could cut it to pretty much whatever shape you want and bring it say from the top of your net tapered down to your mat.

You could just hang a net from that garage door track that would drape down to the corner of your turf and fasten it there.

If you want some good netting options, check out this place. They have a lot of different size options and are very affordable. I bought some nets from them and they are super sturdy. Very fast shipping too.

You'll want the product they list as "golf net black."

Thanks guys! gwil - looks perfect. But 3on3putt - those prices look even better! Especially for a big one - I think I'll get a 10 x 30 and go side to side over the top with one piece. Thanks again guys!
