  • Hitting strip

I've a 1.5m X 1.5m range mat I'm currently using, which is giving very low spin (mevo+) that coupled with long term effects on my wrists from hitting off this I'm looking to get a a good quality hitting strip and cutting a piece out of my mat.

Any recommendation? Looking for it to be about A4 size 30xm X 60cm

    I'm in the UK

    Many thanks

    Danny

I think you’ll find loads of people on here are using fiberbuilt inserts. For sure, they’re not cheap but they’re excellent at reducing impact stresses to wrists and elbows.

Fiberbuilt Grass Hitting Panel Insert Driving Mat available at great value prices. Click here for full product details and to buy now.

A Truestrike insert is another popular option. I personally prefer it to Fiberbuilt but both are good for joints.

Are they the ones that are about £350? Looks like a full length strip about 1.5m long

I went for a piece of ptt2 turf from Huxley golf. £30 for a 1 X 2ft piece. I originally just wanted to test it out before spending a fortune on it. But it's a good size piece and will be fine just cut out and put in my current mat.

Sorted my spin numbers out and it it's great for feedback on fat shots.
