I do like having the grommets for ease of fastening however, if I ever needed to replace it I’d probably go the unfinished / tarp clip route as well (I like the rotation idea). I’d probably just keep my original screen as another layer.

InRange Looking good! Can you please provide technical specs of carpet or link to the product page? I’m in Australia so need to look for something equivalent that’s not as expensive as the hitting mat to cover the rest of the sim room, and can double as decent flooring when we just want to laze about and watch movies on the big screen. Sure, the product I got was called "Ultra Putting Green" and it was 15'x18' and I got it from Turf Net Sports in Fonthill, Ontario, Canada. Tim is the owner and they have a website. It is super heavy duty and weighed a lot. It has rubber backing so I rolled it out and trimmed it with an OLFA boxcutter knife I spent a lot of time making sure my subfloor was level before installation so it just lays in there flat and right now I don't even have it secured with carpet tac strips due to its own weight and rubber backing (we'll see how that goes, I can always tac it later if need be but so far so good). I'd say it runs like an average green in my area, maybe 10-12 stimp. Also, the 24"x24" hitting matt I have is called T-Line turf, I got from the same source.Comment

I had a bit of an issue with balls hitting the screen and carrying through and hitting a ball 6” behind the screen in one area where I had an HVAC run. Cleaned that up and used Poly to hold the insulation instead. Got back 6” in that area and now have 12” everywhere. I also hang moving blankets and man what a difference in sound and also bounce back. It was gently rolling back 10 feet before now maybe 2-3 feet and so quiet.
