Do you have a link for those stone panels? I'm not finding anyting that seems to compare. Those look like sheets, perhaps 4x8 but I'm probably wrong. All I'm fiding is faux stone that is roughly $10+ a sq. ft. But maybe that's what you used?

@CarlSpackler any new pictures to show us? I'm still in discussions with the house boss but still on the hunt to find someone that will quote it. I'm outside Philly and didnt realize how hard it was to find someone that will actually do the excavation. Seems like no one wants to take that on around me. Quest continues...

A good masonry contractor will do it. It is like building a new mini foundation floor. Don’t look for general home improvement guys, find interior masonry guys. The guys who are basement specialists will be 2 or 3 times more expensive and up sell the heck out of you.

@CarlSpackler what are you using for projection? I have gone from benq to optima and back again. And now totally confused again. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I already have my mevo+, chicago curtains, putting green, hitting mat, underlayment floor cushions and carl's premium 9x12 screen. Now all i need is the snow to melt so i can put all my current junk in my new lean to shed and get to putting my jigsaw puzzle together.

I went with the Optoma EH412ST Short Throw. I like it. Easy to use, bright, high quality picture. That was a tough decision though and I did a bunch of research. I did like that several of the simulator install sites recommend Optoma as well. I used a Skyrail sliding projector mount too. What a great device. Gives 2 feet of forward and backward movement to the projector so you don’t have to be precise when mounting as you can slide it to get the picture just right.

Looks good. Just out of curiosity, why didn't you move the curtains to the top of the cutout, (even with the old floor and use pads to protect the kick off the sides. Seems like that would give you more room to swing and hit more at the center of the screen (it appears you target line is off center)?

The curtains don’t interfere with swinging the club as they start a few feet ahead of the ball. They also provide plenty of protect from balls that are shanked low to the side.

Partially, aesthetics and partially simplicity of solution. I like the look of the curtains to the floor and it gives the room a movie theater feel. I don’t think padding on the walls of the “pit” would have changed anything from a functionality perspective. The target has to be off center because of the width of the space, it’s only 12.5 feet due the limitations of the columns.

I could have done it with no wall to the left side, but the. The area would not have the feel I wanted. I don’t mind the off center target, really doesn’t impact use of the simulator.
