Hi all, I thought I would try again. I have a optoma Gt 1080hdr that hangs on a low profile mount over my head. It should be out of any swing plane but I’m concerned that if I have guests and maybe even a lefty and someone moves the skytrak that it could be hit by a club. I’m just being overly careful here and don’t want to have any damage to the projector. I was thinking of buying a metal basket from Amazon and modify to fit over the projector. I will cut out an opening for the lens. They have one that is 15 inches long by 11.75 wide and 8 inches deep. This could work. I would just have to modify to attach to the ceiling. I was just wondering if anyone else has ever done this and maybe there is something out there that I missed that will also work?
how to protect the projector

Hi Joe, if you search "basket" or "cage" you'll get a number of results. The basket option seems to be the cheapest and yet very functional. There's a pic in this thread about halfway down the first page: https://golfsimulatorforum.com/forum...tor-protection
There are projector-specific cages but they are very expensive:
Others have talked about using plastic bins, but personally a basket seems like a better idea due to heat.
