I'm going to purchase the Eye XO here shortly from Jeremiah at Green Pro. He's got the screen and frame that he sells and I'm trying to think how to finish it so that it looks properly trimmed.
I'm going with the ZH406ST with a throw distance of 6.5', resulting in a 178" image. At 16:9, that comes out to 7.25' vertical and just under 13' horizontal. My wall that I'm putting it on is 15' wide and 12' tall. How would you finish this thing so that it looks professional in the space? it will be sitting on a putting turf with padding and have curtains in tracks that pull out from the wall to use while the simulator is in use. My biggest concern is how do I finish ABOVE the frame. At a 7.25' screen, I would imagine a finished frame be around 7' 8" maybe. How would you finish the other 4.5' of space?
For some reason it won't allow me to upload a JPEG of the frame that he sells here. But it's essentially elbow brackets that I would go to Home Depot and buy EMT conduit to go into to create a 1' deep frame to hold the screen. It will sit on the putting turf and I would get some pipe clamps to bolt it to the wall for rigidity.
Thanks for any help!
