Has anyone dug out their basement to get higher ceilings? I think I would need to dig 1-1.5 feet maybe 2 tops not sure if this is possible for all houses or if their are certain requirements with the foundation and all?

There are a few threads here that talk about underpinning. (Search for underpinning) I think you would need to speak to an architect and or contractor to find out what is really necessary.Comment
