GC2 + HMT new build questions.

I have just bought a GC2 + HMT along with a hitting mat (Forb Ultra) and net (Forb pro pop up).

A bit of back story - I had decided to practice & take lessons for the first time in years as when the new World Golf handicapping system came in my handicap went up to 8, which is the highest that it has been for 30 years !

Have recently had a couple of Trackman lessons and had been going to use a local Trackman facility to practice.

Here in Scotland we are now in our second proper Covid lock down so I decided to invest in my own launch monitor and required club head data as I have been working on club path and face angle. I suspect that the lockdown could last a while......

The unit will mostly be used for grinding. With a bluetooth connection to my mobile phone and the Foresight performance fitting app this works well as it's the numbers and ball flight that I'm most interested in. However, it would be nice to play a round on a simulator once in a while to break the monotony.

I was thinking about TGC2019. How good is the range facility ? Would I be right in thinking that I would need a gaming PC with a bluetooth connection to speak to the GC2 unit. For a screen would I need a television or computer monitor ? The set up is in another house that does not have wifi. I could buy a 4G mobile dongle which can download data at "up to 150Mbps" (no 5G in the area yet) - would this be fast enough to run the software ?

The tgc2019 range is okay but for practice just use the range software that comes with the unit. That will be much better for data.

You can use a computer monitor, a tv or a projector and hitting screen.

Tgc requires a gaming PC. I am not sure about the 150mbps but I imagine it would be fine. Worst case scenario is that there are like 32 courses in the game you can play in offline mode with no internet.

Sounds like nice setup you've put together. How are you finding the Forb Ultra mat? I'm considering getting one to use outside, also with the Forb proflex pop up net.

It looks like a nice cushioned surface to hit off and should be kind on the wrists and also penalise fat shots. I'm wondering if the stance solid as it looks a bit spongy? Also, has it worn OK, and does it slip? I'm planning to put it directly on my patio.

Any info would be great, thanks.
