Ceiling options for underside of garage roof trusses

I’m rebuilding my garage simulator and curious if anyone has good solutions for ceiling options.

My garage has 11’8” clear height to the underside of the roof trusses (fairly standard 7/12 pitch fink style trusses, 24” oc). With my previous build I attached very thin (maybe 1/8” thick) wood sheets to the underside of the trusses going from the wall behind the screen to 8ft from the wall. I used thin sheets because I didn’t want to put too much weight/stress on the trusses. Unfortunately some aggressive flop shots punched right through these sheets so I want something to either dampen any blows or thicker but still light weight.

Anyone have any ideas?

You have really high ceilings so I would use a golf net. I stretched one across my sim about 10" below the ceiling in order to protect the drywall. It is just above the projector line of site so that it doesn't create any shadows on my impact screen. It works great, Amazon has tons of them, pretty cheap.
