Some update pictures. Finished up pillars to hide the sides of the screen. Now just need to get baseboard and crown put on. Had the trim guys add beer/phone shelves on the back wall. Picked up a club and ball washer just in case.

So is your curved top pipe is free-hanging? So when a ball strikes the screen, the whole frame can absorb the strike and move about, a bit like a pendulum? The weight of the screen will definitely dampen any massive movements but just free enough to act like a shock absorber…?

Currently Painters are finishing up prep work before painting. Hopefully its painted by the 15th.
Ordered flooring for the room on Friday. Most importantly the mini fridge and hotdog roller have a forever home...

painting has started and all flooring is ordered. I should be able to play by the end of the month. My wood floor install date is Dec 12 unfortunately but at least everything sim side will be completed by then.
I will update with pics once things start looking different.

Classy touch with all the wood! Must be expensive - I'm doing an outbuilding Sim right now and building materials / costs are nuts! Unfortunately no contractors will work around here... so doing everything myself
Keep the pics coming... as you move along.... also links of what you buy and where, so we can get an idea of how to match some part of your system that I like, etc...

I wish I had a breakdown on the total cost of the room just for my own info. This was part of a major home renovation so I know how you feel on cost of materials. At some point I will have to post a before and after picture of my main floor showing the amount of work we are doing in total.

Ryan5508 , looking great! Can't wait to see how this turns out with the 3 projectors. That's way beyond what I'm able to do in my 16'x12' shed... What Sim software do you plan on running for your simulator that supports the 3 projectors? I just took a look, it appears the PixelWarp software will convert anything to 3 projectors. Which putting turf did you pick?
I also saw the drawing and Sim you created plans from - where is that? Looks amazing, and if you can re-create that in your room upstairs - wow! Really like the custom mural too, I used to have one similar in my office, but we moved 2 years ago. I may do a mural in my new Sim build too. -

Pixelwarp will basically let me run anything on the curved screen. It's going to run TGC2019 and also be a flight/racing sim screen.
Hitting mat is a fiberbuilt studio mat. carpet is from a local shop. Not sure on the brand but has attached padding. Should keep the sound down slightly.
Sim is located above the Garage. We just copied the garage in size but with 11' ceilings. The pebble beach wallpaper turned out fantastic.
The room is very colorful now. has a big theater feel currently to it.

Pc's made there way up into the room. So now I could calibrate and start setting things up. Dual system build into the desk. right side is a work station/gaming. Left is the golf sim pc.
Mat needs to lay for a while to flatten out. Everything works without any issues so far. hit a quick chip into a mattresses for a chip test. Putting green comes on the 29th. still waiting for wallpaper to finish to put up the projectors permanently. need a replacement sheet still.

Ryan5508 - That's one flashy setup - is that a liquid cooled system under the glass-top desk, or neon running under there? Probably likely to light up the whole room when the lights are out... wow!
I know the feeling,really want balls in the air by now, but I still have electrical (maybe tomorrow), raised floor (tomorrow), drywall (wednesday) and my putting turf is supposed to arrive tomorrow. Other than that - once I have electrical/walls up, I need to plug-in my electric heaters and get heat in the building! This must have been one of the coldest Novembers we've ever had, and I've froze my way through the construction process, every day, hoping it will get better, and it gets worse. Low of 22 tonight. Looks like maybe Wednesday it will be close to 50... have to fight to get enough done to turn on heat, then I'll be able to finish my setup
Good luck with your incredible looking curved wall - I would love that, but don't have the space... wow... you're going to be the envy of every other Sim golfer up here when you're done (I hope you know that?). -
Both sides are liquid cooled and light up like a UFO 🛸. Went with the desk after feeling like having two pc towers would just take up to much space in the room. My wife didn't like my wall mount pc cases idea so we found this instead.
The building process is irritating. Much easier when you can do everything yourself and your on your own time line. Our entire house has not had any flooring in months. And all we can do is wait for the next contractor.
The heating was the main push to bring everything into the house. I was sick of spending so much time setting everything up. And then heating it all up. A good heating setup makes all the difference in world when dealing with a garage/barn simulator. Expecially if you are still using a space for parking in the winter.
I am hoping to use the long holiday weekend to wrap up my portion of the build. Hope to be playing soon.

Thanks Ryan5508 - yes, I'm getting closer... and you're right the damn 'heating' is a problem at this point... I barely want to work out there when I'm trying to install flooring/drywall or electrical. I came across a new option last night on Amazon. Piped Natural Gas heater that seems to do well for only $150 or so, and requires no electricity! My shed is separate from my garage and house - so I don't have to worry about parking spaces! What I do have to worry about is insulating it enough to keep it warm with limited heating options.
Good luck on your finish up too... soon we may both be playing - that has a nice 'sound' to it!

Went a different route with the ceiling. Bought oversized pool noodles and just wrapped my net over. With the black painted ceiling it looks really good in person
Been trying to setup the warp software. It works great for whatever is in your cameras FOV. But since it cant see to the end of the screen I cant seem to warp it. Will need more time with it.
Last issue is TGC cant scale properly with this screen resolution 5760 x 1200. The launcher started up way oversized and there is no start option. Have to launch pod then just TGC itself with out the launcher.Comment
