Hi,
I have been going back and forth about how best to build my garage sim as I need to be able to access a door that will be directly behind my screen.
I have considered fold up and pivot solutions but the one I think will work best for me is a screen that slides out of the way when needed, like a curtain.
The plan will be to install 2 vertical posts out of 2x2 16' from the back wall which will be the edge of the frame. I will then run some metal rope along the top which the screen will then slide along.
Hoping to get advice on the below questions:
1. What have people done in their sims to combat bounceback on a wooden frame? Is there anything i can use to wrap around the timber that will absorb any ball contact?
2. What am I best to use to attach the screen to the rope that will allow it to slide? I'm thinking carabiner clips over the rope and then connect bungee chords from the clips to the screen eyelets. Should this work?
3. I'm wanting to avoid having any wood or rope at the bottom of the screen so there isn't a tripping hazard when the screen is pulled back. With this in mind how can I go about fixing the screen to the floor to give it tension? I will of course need to easily unclip this if I am wanting to slide the screen out of the way
