  • New Build....New Construction, Lookin for ideas and avoiding mistakes.

I'm in the process of designing a new home with a golf room. I have spent a lot of time on here reading and getting some great tips. I'm attaching the rough plans I have come up with and would appreciate some expert advice on things I might be over looking, mistakes to avoid. I guess my biggest concerns are:

    Size of room adequate
    Lighting
wondering if anyone has put holes in slab foundation?
Best turf for everything from hitting position forward?
    Best hitting mat?

    setup I'll be using:
    GC2 + HMT
Epson Home cinema 1060 (Might upgrade if needed)
Alienware with 8GB Nvidia GTX 1070 Click image for larger version

Depending on where it is located in or near your home, think about sound. No one likes pissing off your loved ones or neighbors. A driver strike at the right swing speed on a golfball gets loud. There is a lot of great material out there about STC classifications but it's quite expensive to add real soundproofing after the build.

Here is what the pros suggest on quality soundproofing.

I was planning on foaming the walls during construction. I think that should help. Thanks for the input.
Has anyone put holes in the concrete slab?
