  • Slider for GC2

I use a Quattro mat with 2 permanent tees. Thus, I like to slide the GC2 between this area and one for hitting directly off the mat. I created my own slider using the following:

    a) Linear rail guides with ball bearing sliders (CHUANGNENG 2Pcs Linear Rail SBR12-600mm Linear Rail Guide CNC Parts 23.62inch Fully Supported Linear Rail+2pcs SBR12UU BlockBearing Block Bearing for DIY CNC Routers Lathes Mills Automated Machines: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific). Unit came with some grease on it, but was dusty. I wiped it lightly with paper towel and then applied white lithium grease.
    b) .220" clear acrylic from HD
    c) M4 bolts to attach GC2 metal case to bearing sliders and M5 bolt's/nuts to attach rails to acrylic (don't overtighten the bolt/nut).

This is the GC2 case I already had. Foresight GC2 Launch Monitor Protective Case - Steel - Works with HMT | eBay.

These are ~24" rails and gives about 11" of slide assembled as shown.

Slides really easily and this allows it to stay square to mat.

Thank you sharing. This is exactly what I need for my setup.

GullLakeMi what is the height from the bottom of the GC2 case to the floor?

<1.5" or similar to variation as to whether ball is on a tee or not. I'd previously inquired on the forum as to whether anybody noticed sensitivity to that and got no comments. I haven't notice any difference in carry distance. I don't know my spin rates and at an 8 handicap don't hit it consistent enough to decipher. In my case, I can recess it in the floor as I have 1" gym mat's under the grass carpet. Doesn't seem necessary.

Im wanting to do this for my QED. Do these come with stops or any way to keep the blocks from sliding off the tracks?

When I attached rail to acrylic, I used longer screws at each end to act as stop.
