New Garage Build
Hi All, new to this forum. I have purchased a SkyTrak and am now just waiting for it to be delivered (hopefully will get it by July "Damn Backorders"). In the meantime I am trying to get everything purchased that I will need. The main question I am coming into is that aside from Golfing I am also into playing PC games and I have a pretty awesome PC built already that I was hoping to have the sim software on (TGC 2019). Woohoo for 4k gaming!! My question is has anyone ever ran USB/HDMI cables over any sort of distance for their build? I was thinking of running the USB/HDMI cables from my office to the garage projector which would be a total of around 60 feet. Has anyone ever controlled a PC from that distance? Just wondering if this is a feasible idea or not? Or if anyone has any better ideas for me?

I’m considering a longish run using a 100’ hdmi cable (across basement, up into garage wall, around the back of the garage and up to a projector mounted around 10’ off the ground). Still in the planning stage though.
Another consideration is doing wireless hdmi across the garage, eliminating about 50’. Needs line of site to work effectively, but I’d rather go Wired the whole way. I think it can work. $50 experiment.
