  • Depth required on hitting cage (prevent clearing cage)

I had my first sim golf experience (commercial) yesterday and am now slightly worried about my potential setup. I noticed a lot of high lofted clubs often missed the top of the screen entirely and want to make sure my setup can accommodate these shots.

My cage is set to be 12 feet wide, 10 feet high and probably come out to a depth of 6 feet. That will leave 2 feet from the ball to the top of the enclosure. Do you guys think that is enough room, to ensure I'm not hitting over the enclosure. Its funny I'm a 25-30 handicap so I was so concerned with missing the screen but 8ft is surprisingly close so I am a lot less worried about that but seeing how quickly the ball gets up there on those full 56's & 60's has me very worried.

Unless I am miss reading some of your measurements, I think 2 feet from impact to the end of your enclosure that will be ten feet high should not be an issue at all. I am guessing, but that would require like 80 degrees of launch angle at least.

have a look at the Uneekor thread for the Eye XO that sits in front of the unit. I can’t recall how far in front the unit was to impact location but thought It was two or three feet in front of the unit and needed to be 9 or 9.5 feet off the floor. I don’t think those guys are too worried about hitting their launch monitor.
