Advice for spotlight location? should it be directly over the ball?

I am in the electrical phase of my build. Should the spotlight for the impact area be right over the ball? Or off to the side a bit? Looking at this photo of this guys super nice setup the lights look off center slightly. I am using a Silo x20 with adjustable beam width for my light. I have a 16' screen. The projector is at 7'7" and the impact area will be at 10'. Ceilings are about 10'6". Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I offset mine just a bit due to shadows.

I have mine offset a bit as well. Just so your head doesn't cause a shadow.
