    Most people let the bottom hang free and only secure the top and the 2 sides. Securing the bottom tends to contribute to the trampoline effect. Let it hang free but figure out a way to weigh it down. If the screen has a built-in sleeve, fill that with something to add some weight. Or some screens come with a little sandbag that weighs it down. Weight at the bottom pulls the screen downward to smooth out wrinkles.

    Finding the right balance between smooth image and ball bounce back is just trial and error. Start out kinda loose and make some half swings to see the bounce back. Make harder swings. Tighten the screen. Make more swings. Tighten some more. Eventually you'll find the right amount of tension that allows for a nice picture with minimal bounce back. Just takes some experimenting.

    Also putting stuff behind your screen like blankets and padding can help a lot with bounce back.
