Can you run a simulator with a satellite Internet provider? If so does anyone have any experience with it? Which provider do you use? I live in the Memphis, Tn. Area.

I had Hughes Net, and had a very high packet loss which was a killer on any kind of gaming. I switched over to regular internet and even thought it was very slow it worked where Hughes Net would not work.

You might want to look into https://www.starlink.com/ . If your only option is satellite internet, Starlink may be a good solution for you. Should be able to do 100mbps with low latency. I think it costs around $500 for the equipment and $100/month.

I’d exhaust all other options before committing to satellite. My understanding is what has plagued it in the past still plagued it to this day. High initial cost, unimaginable uploads, inconsistent downloads, misrepresented bandwidth, awful customer surface. That was my experience and I was finally able to get away about 6 years ago, probably one of the 5 best days of my life as a consumer. I do not believe the technology has changed, just the names. I absolutely did not get what I was promised.
