  • Custom build finished!

I just finished my custom build in a walled off space in the garage. The space is 16ft wide X 17 ft deep with over 12 ft ceiling height. Here are some of the main specs..

    -15ft X 9.5ft premium golf enclosure from Carlofet.com
    - custom raised putting green with 5 holes from Pro Putt Systems
    - Foresight GC Quad
    - Optoma GT1080HDR short throw projector

I definitely learned a ton from this site. It is an invaluable resource and made this daunting project possible. So a big thank you to everyone! Now I can hit balls all year round in CT!

Nice job! What is your tee to screen distance? I assume the screen is 12" from the wall, are you finding 17' depth comfortable to swing driver?

Thanks! Yes screen around 12” from wall. I also reinforced with a WHITE net behind the screen. I played with the bungees so the the screen is tight BUT the most the ball will come back is a soft roll out to my feet, most of the time just coming back a few feet from the screen. The center of my hitting area is 9 1/2 ft from screen which leaves me just over 6 feet to the wall. I’m tall, 6’4”, and don’t have any issues at all with driver. My biggest concern was being able to video my swing and with a the new iPad Pro on wide angle there is more than enough room to get my full swing in. The second photo basically shows this.

I bought this very simple iPad mount on Amazon for $17 which basically keeps the iPad as close to the wall as possible to video and it works great!
