    Gym to Golf Simulator

I decided to convert half of my gym into a golf sim. After a few weeks of research I have started construction. Original room size was 14 by 28. I knocked down a wall and made it 14 by 34', 20 feet of which will be the sim. Ron from Gungho has been my guide, many thanks to him and his recommendations.

Screen: Gimme Simulators custom HIQ screen, slotted angle and bungees with hooks
    Projector: Benq 671ST
    Launch Monitor: Mevo+
    Strike Mat: Fiberbuilt 1x3 strip
    Turf: TFD Putting Elite
Computer: Asus Zephyrus G15 2021 with RTX 3070

Congrats, looks like your well on your way to a great sim room. I'm jealous of some of your gym equipment too!

Cut in my fiberbuilt hitting strip. Added the trim kit from Gimme Simulators. Custom ordered from Gimme on Monday and had it in hand by Friday. Awesome service and fit was perfect. Just waiting on turf and I have to figure out what I’m doing about wall and ceiling tiles.

What kind of floor mats are those? And how thick are they and how much do they cost? I think we have the same fiberbuilt strip, so trying to see what height floor mats I need to go along with the 7/16th turf from TFD

They are 3/4” rubber stall mats. I had them in my gym before I converted it to a golf sim. I’ll need to add another 1/2” layer under my putting turf.

Where did you get the carpet tiles from? Wanting to do the same thing but have had trouble finding true black ones with any thickness to them.

What did you do with your floor besides the stall mats?

I bought the foam tiles from Amazon. They are only 3/8”, really only come in to play for my kids. For $200 I’m happy with them.

I ended up using 2 layers of 3/4” stall mats. I had the exact amount from my previous gym floor to double them up. The turf is 3/8” and lined up almost perfect with the fiberbuilt strip.
