I am looking to building a golf simulator build. Im getting a 218 inch (15.5 Ft x 10Ft) screen from Carl's Place. The hitting bay will be at the 10Ft mark and the projector will be above or slightly behind the hitting bay. Maybe about 13Ft max?. One of my initial choice is the Benq MW632ST. But I'm afraid that at that distance, the brightness of the projector will be an issue. Anyone have an experience with this? or any other suggestions would be highly appreciated!

I started with that projector and had it mounted from 8.5 feet. It was fine even in regular room lighting. Much better if you can control the ambient. It (along with most BenQ projectors) then to show brighter then advertised. Many have gone to the 671 for better resolution, but for the price, the 632 is a great place to start especially if you are looking for the 16:10 resolution which is a bit tough to find these days.

Projector central is a great source to help finding a projector that fits what you are looking for. Also, Simone just posted a great summary of a few things to note on the site a little earlier today.
I also suggest looking at the extensive projector help discussions (some were for garage builds) where people had the exact same question as you in this past month. I would have a look at those as I think between those and projector central you will find what you are looking for.
budget would also be a good thing to keep in mind and note if you still have questions.
