    Custom Garage Folding Build

I came here often looking for pictures and ideas on how to build my sim. I completed it about 2 weeks ago and thought I should share some pictures. Admittedly this is a custom build but hopefully it sparks ideas for others here. My basement isn’t tall enough to swing a club so that only left the garage. We live in the Midwest so parking outside, especially in the winter, isn’t an option. That means I needed to do something that was easily assembled and disassembled. I’ll try to keep this brief and attach several pictures but am happy to answer questions. The net “frame” consists of 2 cables stretched between the back wall and a beam that supports the bonus room above the garage. I mounted some strut on the wall and beam to allow for adjustment. The cables allow me to slide the net into place after the screen is folded down. Similar to a shower curtain, I guess. The screen frame is built from ¾ EMT and 4 brackets I bought from MakerPipe. I ran a cable trough the top piece of EMT and connected it to the cables between the beam and wall via carabiners. This allows for the screen to slide like the net and also swing up for storage. I bought a Real Feel hitting strip and built 4’x4’ platforms to stand on so everything is level. I also installed some track lighting above the hitting area. Again, happy to answer questions but wanted to get some pictures out there for people looking for ideas. Hope this helps.

That's awesome, nice work! I'm sure other people who need a retractable setup can benefit from this.
