Step 0 for a simulator room

Fresh new here, at step 0 of building a simulator room. My basement only has 7.9' height and dig the floor is out of the question. do have one empty garage, which is standard 8 feet wide with opener rail in the way, so also out of the question. This leaves only option is my office, but the size is a concern.

I did some measurement and drew a layout, attached. it seems going to work. Is there anything I missed here which will make it not work? thanks everyone.

That seems VERY small to me. You really should have 9-10 ft between impact and screen for safety reasons. With my swing, I need at least 6 ft behind (minimum) and really need 6.5 to 7 ft behind me to feel comfortable. I do not think you will have enough room to swing comfortably and safely. Plus, you do not seem to have accounted for the swing enclosure overhang which will likely jut out 3-3.5 ft from impact screen. That or you will have to do some really major padding on the ceiling. You also need at least 6 ft in front of you for swing extension. Check your backswing in slow motion and your swing follow-through and I would bet you will find you need 11-12 ft minimum to feel comfortable. I know some can go with less than 6-7 ft behind them, but many like myself find that too constrained as I would hit the wall on certain shots or possibly with driver.

thanks for the comments and insight. yes, it is very very tight, probably not a good idea.
